Moves, Adds and Changes
Moves, Adds and Changes (also known as "MACs") are services that involve performing work on existing systems at your location. Examples of MACs include:
  • Operating System Migrations
  • System Component Upgrades
  • Physically Relocating Systems
  • Adding Peripheral Devices
MPC will define the scope of work, determine the price, and make a proposal based on your specific requirements. Pricing is typically on a per-unit basis, but may include hourly rates as well.
Creating the scope of work for a MAC project will likely include one or more planning sessions. The purpose of these sessions is to completely understand your organization's requirements, timetables and other critical information. The time required for these planning stages will vary based on the overall complexity of the project and your requirements.
Once the requirements have been gathered, a formal proposal will be written. It will detail the services to be performed and the associated price. The proposal will also define your organization's responsibilities, as well as those of MPC.
Once you have accepted the MAC proposal, a MPC project manager will be assigned. The project manager will be responsible for delivering the deployment service according to the terms defined in the proposal. If there are multiple locations involved, the project manager will be responsible for coordinating the project with local MPC teams at each site.
The primary points-of-contact within your organization will then be given access to a Web-based tool that will enable them to track the progress of the MAC project. Your MPC project manager will facilitate access to the tracking tool and provide the requisite orientation and guidance regarding its use.
