MPC Recovery Services
MPC's Asset Recovery Services provide an easier way to manage system disposal. Retiring and disposing of obsolete computer equipment plays a vital role in reducing your organization's total cost of ownership. Yet 75% of obsolete electronics end up in storage rooms-a costly alternative. Count on MPC's Asset Recovery Services to manage the disposition of your obsolete computer equipment from start to finish. Protect your organization from the unintentional release of sensitive data or violations of state, local and EPA disposal guidelines with MPC's expert service. While we keep track of complex and evolving disposal rules, your resources are free to focus on core IT projects.
MPC offers two asset recovery programs to fit your organization's requirements for system disposal:
- MPC's Value Recovery Program offers the ability to maximize your cash recovery by refurbishing and remarketing your used equipment, if marketable, as well as proper data removal with a Certificate of Indemnification.*
- MPC's Recycling Program provides end-of-life Certified Disposal Service in accordance with EPA guidelines and includes data removal with a Certificate of Indemnification.*
Scheduling
If you purchase MPC Asset Recovery Services with the optional transportation services, we will contact you within 72 hours to schedule the equipment pick-up. You can expect to have your equipment picked up within ten days.
Transportation
MPC logistics partners can arrive at your location on the scheduled date to prepare and remove the retired units. This optional service can include pallets, palletizing, shrink-wrapping and transportation to an approved asset recovery/recycling center. Our standard logistics service requires the equipment to be located near a truck-accessible location, such as a loading dock. If you do not have the ability to have the units with truck-loading access, we offer our "white glove" service which will manage the additional logistical services.
Reporting
Within 30 days of asset removal, you will receive a settlement report of all equipment received at the MPC recycling center, a certificate of destruction and a certificate of indemnification.
MPC Asset Recovery Services can be purchased on a per-unit basis with a 10-unit minimum. A "unit" is defined as an item weighing up to 40 lbs. and having a unique power cord-like a CPU, monitor, notebook or server. MPC Asset Recovery Services are applicable to products from any manufacturer. These services can be ordered in conjunction with desktop and notebook PC purchases on pro.mpccorp.com. For organizations trading in less than 10 units, try our self-service trade-in program with unique prices.
* Includes a "single flux" data wipe on one hard drive. For additional drives or wipes contact your MPC Sales Representative for a price quote. No data removal process leaves a hard drive or computer as free from residual data as a new product. MPC makes no recommendations regarding your security needs or representation regarding the effectiveness of one method of data removal or another. Several methods of data removal are available from MPC or subcontractor.
