MPC Managed Deployment Services
MPC engineers can install and deploy systems directly at your location. Installation can include desktops, notebooks, servers and networking equipment.
Packaged Deployment Services
MPC will provide PC installation service with a pre-defined scope of work and list prices. This service is designed for deployments that require no customization and applies to desktop and notebook installations.
Service Process
You will be contacted by a MPC installation coordinator to schedule the installation. During this call, you will be given a telephone number to use in case of schedule changes or escalations prior to completion of the installation. Once you have purchased the Packaged Deployment Services, MPC will:
- Verify receipt and condition of all boxes and components, according to the shipping list.
- Unpack the systems and components at end user's work space.
- Verify that product service tag numbers match shipping list.
- Check and verify the external condition of the systems.
- Set up CPU, monitor, keyboard and mouse.
- Reconnect identified peripheral devices (e.g., scanner, printer, etc.).
- Perform final systems test.
- De-install existing system components.
- Remove excess packaging material; move to on-site, central location.
- Pack existing system components in new MPC® system packaging or in boxes/packaging provided by your organization.
- Move existing system to central location within your installation site.
- For an additional fee, MPC will also transfer data from the existing Intel®-based system you are replacing to the new MPC system. (Requires the availability of a network connection with a minimum data-transfer rate of 10 MBPS and a file server with adequate disk space to facilitate transfer. Your data must also reside under a single directory.)
Purchasing Information
Packaged deployment services can be purchased with the PC as a part-number line item or as an add-on. These services can be ordered in conjunction with desktop and notebook PC purchases on
