Deployment and Disposal Services


 Project Management
  The acquisition of new computer equipment is often associated with larger projects, leaving little time for organizing or managing the logistics of computer deployment. MPC can provide project management to assist you in planning and implementing computer deployments. An MPC project manager will help ensure that shipping and delivery schedules are followed, coordinate the arrival of on-site installation personnel, and supervise the numerous details surrounding the deployment project.  

 Staging and Delivery
 
Warehousing
Warehousing is helpful for large-scale deployments, especially when your locations don't have loading docks or excess storage space. MPC utilizes warehousing provided by third parties to optimize delivery of new computer equipment to your location(s) based on the number of systems to be installed, available storage space, and other logistical considerations.
Delivery
MPC can help manage your specific delivery schedule to make deployment of your new computers easy. In conjunction with warehousing, delivery can be staged to address the specific circumstances of any particular location.
 

 Deployment
 
De-installation and Installation
MPC performs de-installation and installation activities from the simple to the complex, trading out old technology for new. In preparation for the activities listed below, MPC will de-install the legacy computer by shutting it down, disconnecting the power and all cables, and setting it aside for further disposition. MPC will then set up the new computer, connect the monitor and peripheral devices, power up the system and ensure basic network connectivity.
Software Installation/Configuration
When requested, MPC can install or configure customer-owned software programs on a computer following hardware setup. You must provide original application media and proof of license authority.
Data Migration
One of the most nerve-wracking considerations of any new computer deployment is that data or functionality will be lost. MPC can help you with this process in order to reduce downtime and protect against data loss.
Asset Labeling/Documentation
One significant administrative function of new computer deployments is keeping track of systems being de-installed and installed. Asset labeling and documentation are important management activities MPC can perform while de-installing and installing new systems.
 

 Disposal
 
Equipment Removal/Storage
Another way MPC can assist with the logistics of deploying new computers is to remove the legacy equipment, either by shipping to a pre-arranged destination, or by providing storage until you have an opportunity to dispose of the equipment in the manner of your choice.
Disk Sanitization
Many customers are concerned about data remaining on hard drives of systems that have been de-installed. MPC can remove data from your de-installed hard drives. MPC can also provide documentation of disk sanitization.
Equipment Disposal/Recycling
When you need assistance with the final disposition of computer equipment that is removed from your location, turn to MPC's flexible recycling services.  Other Logistic Services
 
Relocation
MPC can manage the logistics of relocating computer and other office equipment from one location to another. Relocation tasks can include de-installation of equipment, packing and shipping to a specific location, and re-installation of equipment at the new location.
System Upgrades
When you purchase components to upgrade your PC's performance or capabilities, you may desire assistance with integrating the new components into your computer. MPC can provide on-site service for professional installation of system upgrades.
Time and Material Service Calls
Occasionally, you may need on-site service to solve issues not covered under the terms of your service agreement or when your service agreement has expired. Time and Material Service Calls allow MPC to arrange for an on-site field technician to come to your site to assist with technical issues and/or part replacements. These service calls are billed at an hourly, daily, or weekly labor rate (plus the cost of parts), usually with a minimum of two hours.
